The brief

Organise a path into the Tao Te Ching for readers who want both the original text and help understanding it. Transcriptions, edited text, pinyin, translation and contemporary interpretation need distinct levels. Numbered sections, explicit headings and space support continuous reading alongside navigation and questions.

Hierarchy before detail

Source text, editorial notes and interpretation are visually separated. On mobile, a readable text measure and line spacing support a continuous chapter instead of compressing the desktop layout.
